Dr. Paul McMurry joined the DentalWorks team in 2010. He is a native North Carolinian and was born and raised in Shelby, NC. Dr. McMurry graduated from Shelby High School in 1999 and enrolled at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. After two years of education there, he transferred to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He was accepted into the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, the University of Maryland, Baltimore and began his dental education in the fall of 2003. He graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2007 and began private practice shortly thereafter. After nearly two years in the private practice setting, he felt a calling to become a dentist at the Cleveland County Health Department where he served Medicaid children. This was a very rewarding experience as he was able to give much needed care to underserved children. After two years of serving the community, he caught wind of an opportunity with DentalWorks and jumped at the chance. He has thoroughly enjoyed working with the company and loves what he does!
