Dr. Justin Trisler grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Peachtree City, Georgia. His interest in dentistry began after shadowing his orthodontist for a high school project. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in biology from Berry College in Rome, Georgia, before attending dental school on an army scholarship at University of Alabama in Birmingham. Dr. Trisler earned his degree in dental medicine in 2006. After completing a one-year advanced general dentistry residency at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Dr. Trisler moved to Germany to practice as a primary care dentist for three years. Dr. Trisler went on to earn his master’s degree in oral biology from University of Louisville in 2012, while completing two years of orthodontic training. The army stationed Dr. Trisler in Fort Hood, Texas, where he provided orthodontic treatment for soldiers and also taught orthodontics in a two-year AEGD residency program. He transitioned out of the military after 10 years of service, and relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee, with his wife, Kelly, and their three children. Outside of work, Dr. Trisler and his family enjoy hiking, biking, going to the lake, skiing and being involved with church. Dr. Trisler is excited to share his passion for great smiles with the great people of Eastern Tennessee.
