Dr. Amanda Lopez Garza knew she wanted to be a dentist while attending college at The University of Texas – San Antonio. While a student, Dr. Garza worked for 2-and-a-half years in a non-profit dental clinic, and saw a massive need for help in the underserved communities. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Biology before attending Baylor College of Dentistry and earning her D.D.S. in 2012. While continuing her education by completing a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry, completing courses in restorative dentistry, endodontics, fixed prosthodontics, short-term orthodontics, and diode laser training certification, Dr. Garza has also held true to her initial inspiration to be a dentist. She is a dental assistant volunteer at San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic, and she has completed dental mission trips to Guatemala and Matamoros, Mexico. Dr. Garza stays busy with her husband and two young daughters. She also enjoys jogging, and swimming.
