About Lumineers

For high-quality, custom-made porcelain veneers that can last up to 20 years, DentalWorks offers Lumineers by Den Mat Lab. Certified Lumineers can correct stained and discolored teeth, chipped teeth, spacing and gaps, straighten, reshape, and restore old dental work in two easy visits. Lumineers are ultra-thin compared to other veneers and more translucent for a more natural appearance. Lumineers also require less preparation (no anesthesia shots, aggressive enamel scraping, and temporary veneers). Lumineers are only available from Certified Lumineers Dentists and are made from the highest-quality materials at the DenMat Lab to give every patient a comfortable fit that looks natural.

What to Expect

Lumineers usually only take two visits to complete: one to prepare the teeth and make impressions, then a second visit to fit and bond the custom Lumineers. At the first visit, the dentist will take physical impressions of the upper and lower arches as well as digital X-rays and photos, which will be sent to a Lumineers laboratory where the custom veneers will be created. Once the Lumineers are created and returned to our office, the patient will return to have their veneers fitted. To secure the fit between the teeth and the veneers, the dentist will lightly etch the teeth before bonding the Lumineers to the teeth. Finally, the dentist will adjust the veneers as needed to ensure the teeth are aligned and comfortable.

Treatment Aftercare

With proper care, Lumineers can last up to 20 years. Since Lumineers are made with high-quality materials and properly fitted by a Certified Lumineers Dentist, patients do not need to limit what they eat and drink. Patients should continue a good home oral care routine, including brushing and flossing, and visit our office for dental exams and cleanings to maintain their Lumineers. Patients can choose to have their Lumineers removed at any point without concern, since the Lumineers do not require grinding down the natural teeth before placement.

Insurance Coverage

In most cases, Lumineers are not covered by dental insurance because it is a cosmetic procedure, but our office will confirm each patient’s benefits. The dentist can also explain the many payment options our office accepts and the financing plans we have available during the consultation.
