Dr. Sonya Kumar graduated with her bachelor’s degree in biology from Wake Forest University, she then went on to earn her Degree in Dental Medicine from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Dental Medicine. She is involved in the North Carolina Dental Society and the American Dental Association. Dr. Kumar’s passion for dentistry stems from her love of art and science. She enjoys working with her hands while creating healthy beautiful smiles. Dentistry is the perfect combination of art, science and healthcare. Outside of DentalWorks, Dr. Kumar enjoys spinning, yoga, scrapbooking, reading and spending time with her nephews and family. She also enjoys volunteering her time at the MOM Clinics, a portable free dental clinic founded by the NCDS. Dr. Kumar is also a volunteer of Baptists on a Mission Dental Bus, an organization that provides free dental services to those in need. Dr. Kumar is excited to share her passion for great smiles with the patients of DentalWorks Salisbury.
